I’m trying to my homework, but I couldn’t figure out why my puts was showing up on one line. I was bashing my head on the desk, then remember my professor Jason Noble hang out ninja ducks in class to help us find our own mistakes while we programing. Here’s what I have did:

>name1 = “Project ABC”
>name2 = “Project LMN”
>name3 = “Project XYZ”

>funding = 1000

>puts “Projects: /n/tProject ABC/n/tProject LMN/n/tProject XYZ”

then my ninja duck was telling me “stop bashing your head into the desk! go back and take a look again!”

finally, I find out what a stupid mistake I have and re-do it with

>>puts “Projects: \n\tProject ABC\n\tProject LMN\n\tProject XYZ”

run again, it work!

Thanks Professor Jason, thanks ninja rubber duck!

Love, Grace

PS, suggest you go get a cutie ninja rubber duck in your desk ๐Ÿ˜‰

Git and Get!

The most fun thing in my class is that my professor Jason Noble make a joke of my mistake in class. I’m so glad that he is super patient to his students, even I keep putting “get” instead of “git” into my terminal and get some errors. How did I learn? He told us a story of a graduate student who used to make the same mistake like us, so he found an ascii animation of a train and made it play every time the student typed “get” instead of “git”. ย To install an ascii animation train, type

>ย brew install sl

==> Downloading https://github.com/mtoyoda/sl/archive/5.01.tar.gz

######################################################################## 100.0%

==> make -e

๐Ÿบย  /usr/local/Cellar/sl/5.01: 5 files, 36K, built in 2 seconds

now once you type

>sl

and enjoy this little train ๐Ÿ˜‰
